Ford Pro Instagram Promotion Terms and Conditions (the "Promotion")
Eligibility:
1. These Terms & Conditions apply to anyone entering the online Ford Transit Custom Competition via Instagram (“Competition”) promoted and administered by us, Henry Ford & Son Ltd. (“The Promoter”).
2. By entering the Competition you (“You” or “Entrant”) agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept the Terms & Conditions, you should not enter the Competition.
3. The Competition is open to all residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 or over.
4. Employees of the Promoter and its affiliate companies, including Franchisee Employees (Dealers), their families and anyone deemed to be professionally involved with or connected to the Competition are not permitted to enter the Competition.
5. No purchase necessary. Internet access and an Instagram account are required to enter.
How to Enter:
6. To enter the Competition, see the promotional post on Instagram and comment on the post by tagging name of the business you would like to nominate for their chance to win.
7. The Competition opens for nominations at 00:00 BST on 12th August 2024 and closes at 23:59 BST on 3rd September 2024. Entries received outside of these times will be void and will not be entered into the Competition.
8. The first 50 businesses to receive 3 or more comment nominations will be shortlisted as Nominees. All 50 Nominees will be contacted via either their business email address or Instagram Direct Message from @fordireland and will be required to complete a form in order to enter the shortlist judging process.
9. The Nominees must complete the form with the following information within 3 days of the date the email was sent:
· Full business name
· Confirmation of their business registration in Republic of Ireland
· Confirmation the business owner is over 21 years old
· Confirmation that they have held a valid Republic of Ireland driving licence for at least 5 years and have no penalty points on their licence.
· Explanation of how and why their business would tangibly benefit from a 12 month lease of a Ford Transit Custom. Explanations must be a maximum of 300 words.
10. A shortlist of 5 businesses will be selected by a judging panel which includes at least one independent judge, from all entries correctly submitted in accordance with these Terms & Conditions. The shortlist will represent a diverse selection of businesses from across Ireland, reflecting diversity across multiple dimensions, including but not limited to geographic location, industry sector, business size, and the backgrounds of the business owners, such as gender and ethnicity.
11. The 5 shortlisted businesses will be announced on Instagram on 4th September 2024. Each shortlisted business will be tagged in an individual comment on the announcement post. The public will be invited to vote by liking the comment in which the business they would like to win is tagged. The voting opens on 4th September 2024 and closes 23rd September 2024.
12. The business who receives the most likes on their tagged comment will win the Prize.
13. The winner will be notified via email to the email address provided upon form submission. The winner will be required to confirm their full name, full business postal address and their driving licence details in order to claim their prize.
14. If a winner does not respond to their winning email within 7 days of sending, they will forfeit their prize and the prize will be re-awarded to the business with the second highest number of votes.
15. The prize will be awarded to the registered business owner only.
16. The winner will be announced on the @fordireland official Instagram page 7 days after the voting period closes.
17. In the event that no, or fewer than 50, businesses receive 3 nominations, the shortlist of 5 businesses will be selected at random by an independent third party from all nominations received.
Prize Details:
18. There is 1 Prize available to be won. The Prize includes vehicle lease of a Ford Transit Custom for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery to the winner. The exact specification of the vehicle will be a 2024 Ford Transit Custom. The loan will be for a 12 month period to be taken between October 2024 and October 2025. The exact delivery date will be agreed between the winner and The Promoter.
19. As part of the Prize, third party insurance will be provided for the winner as a named driver plus one other family member and the following costs will be included: road tax and Ford Assistance roadside assistance. There are no mileage restrictions however, the winner will be responsible for all electricity or fuel costs for running the vehicle and any major damage beyond fair wear and tear. The winner will be required to sign a Ford Loan Agreement for the vehicle. The third party insurance does not cover any items left inside the vehicle, the winner will be liable for any loss or damage to their personal belongings.
20. The winner must have held a valid Republic of Ireland driving licence for at least 5 years, have no penalty points on their licence and complete the Promoter’s licence checking system. If the winner has opted to add a family member to the third party insurance as detailed in clause 15, the named family member will also be required to complete the Promoter’s licence checking system and confirm they have held a valid Republic of Ireland driving licence for at least 5 years and have no penalty points on their licence.
21. The Promoter will arrange for the winner to collect the vehicle from Automotive, 86 Furze Rd, Sandyford Business Park, Sandyford, Dublin 18, D18 W1W7. The Promoter will also arrange for the vehicle to be delivered back to the same address at the end of the 12 month lease period.
22. The vehicle must remain in the Republic of Ireland for the duration of the 12 month lease period and must not be used on a track. The Promoter reserves the right to track the vehicle through telematics in the event of an accident, or if they suspect the vehicle has been taken out of the Republic of Ireland or to a track.
23. The lease must be taken as a 12 month block and cannot be taken as separate leases.
General:
24. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or part thereof) with a prize of equal or greater value.
25. The Competition and the Promoter's Instagram page (@fordireland) is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering into the Competition, entrants release Instagram from all and any claims and liabilities which might arise in relation to the Competition. You understand that you are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Instagram.
26. The Promoter will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and its privacy policy which can be found at https://www.ford.ie/useful-information/terms-and-privacy-policy-hub. The Promoter will only use your personal information for the purpose of carrying out the Competition. Where the Promoter is not responsible for the fulfilment of or delivery of the prize, the Promoter shall share your personal information with Born Social or Harris PR who are responsible for the fulfilment of and delivery of the prize.
27. The prize winner’s surname and county will be available by emailing UKCRC1@Ford.com within three months of the Closing Date. Any Winner may opt to have their details removed or minimised by emailing to XXX and indicating their request relates to Ford Transit Custom Social Competition. Any winner opting to have their details removed or minimised will not be displayed in the Winners List made available to the public on request. However, the Promoter shall provide the information set out above upon request from such competent authorities (including without limitation the Advertising Standards Authority). 28. Nominations that contain any offensive or inappropriate content will be deleted and disqualified at the Promoter's discretion.
29. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, amend or terminate (temporarily or permanently) these terms and conditions or the Competition with or without prior notice where it becomes necessary to do so due to any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud or in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity).
30. No correspondence will be entered into concerning the result and the Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the Competition is final.
31. The Promoter and its agents accept no responsibility for entries that are not received for any reason or difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this Competition and proof of submission will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
32. The Promoter is not responsible for computer or network problems, problems with servers, other programming, electronic or technological failures/errors/malfunctions of any kind (including but not limited to filtering by or operation of the functionality of Instagram) or the failure to receive any posts or inability to contact the potential prize winner for any reason, whatsoever.
33. While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the Promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the Promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the Competition or which are caused by a third party.
34. This Competition and these Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of the Republic of Ireland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
35. Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in this Competition.
